Fall 2022 General Info

Tackle Football Age Divisions

Age Cut-Off: August 1st, 2022

  • League Registration/Certification: New Players will be required to PRESENT original birth certificates and ID at a later date. SEE BELOW. (**Spring 2022 Participants are Already Certified.**)  
  • Practice Fields: Honolulu Metro Area (Kaka`ako Gateway Park)
  • 10u Tackle 
  • 12u Tackle
  • 14u Tackle

KEY DATES 

  • JUL 16 – Aug 5th CERTIFICATION Period (Location TBD)
  • JUL 30 – Mandatory Coaches Meeting
  • AUG 5  – Preseason and scrimmages pre-season
  • AUG 13 – Rosters Finalized
  • AUG 20 – Season Games Begin
  • NOV 19 or 26 – HYFL Championships @ TBD

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

Players are responsible for the following required equipment:

  • Black helmet, w/ Black face mask,
  • black practice pants with complete lower pads
  • shoulder pads
  • Practice jersey
  • Cleats
  • Mouthpiece

HYFL CERTIFICATION – REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

The following must be presented at certification by the player:

  • ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR MEDICAL CARD WITH BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND NAME ON IT AND ORIGINAL SCHOOL ID (Reminder: ORIGINAL…ORIGINAL…ORIGINAL!) OR
  • STATE ID, PASSPORT OR MILITARY ID (these alone are sufficient)
  • Player must be present with required Documents
  • Certification Valid for Subsequent Seasons

Registration must be completed by the day prior to the certification you plan to attend.

CERTIFICATION  DATE: TBD, No later than JULY 16th

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (*NOTE DUAL CERTIFICATION NOW REQUIRED):The following must be presented at certification by the player:

  • ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE or MEDICAL CARD WITH BIRTHDATE AND
  • ORIGINAL SCHOOL ID (KEIKI ID’S ARE NOT SUFFICIENT)
  • (Reminder: ORIGINAL…ORIGINAL…ORIGINAL!)

OR

  • NON-EXPIRED STATE ID, PASSPORT OR MILITARY ID (these alone are sufficient)

Player must be present with required Documents

PLAYERS WHO WERE CERTIFIED AS OF SPRING 2022 DO NOT NEED TO DO IT AGAIN FOR THIS SEASON.

FEES INCLUDE:

  • Highlight YFL League player fee
  • Metro Tigers club fee for Fall 2022 Season
  • INCLUDES One (1) Customized Sublimated Jerseys, One (1) Sublimated Integrated Practice Pants, helmet decal
  • TOTAL: $160
